Irak: Gute und schlechte Nachrichten
Ein interessantes Experiment bei Sgt. Stryker.
Stryker und Sparkey werden von nun an positive und
negative Nachrichten aus dem Irak sammeln. Sparkey
ist für das Positive, Stryker für das Negative
zuständig.
Zitat:
"If you do even a cursory scan of the op-eds,
foreign papers and the blogosphere, it is clear
that a lot of the negative-ness comes from people
with a political axe to grind against Bush, those
who want us to fail just to spite Bush and those
rooting for us to fail because we´re Americans and
need to be taught some sort of lesson. But I think
that the excessive negativeness in the press has
produced an equal and opposite excessiveness of
positivity from people who I think are more
concerned with Bush´s re-election rather than an
honest assessment of the situation. They fear that
admitting anything bad helps the opposition. That
does as much disservice to Iraq as those
cheerleading for failure."
