The first rule of crisis management is to prepare
for a crisis before it occurs. We, like most large
organisations, have detailed business recovery
plans in place. However, the majority of such
contingency plans have been built around buildings
being damaged or systems being incapacitated. In
this situation, our buildings and systems were
untouched but our customers and staff were not.
