Behauptung:
However, many Algerian freedom-fighters were
looking for a way to win the support of the local
Jews to their cause. Their ideal was a secular
Algerian nation, including Christians and Jews as
well as Muslims. They feared a mass-exodus of the
Jews, together with the French "colons" and wanted
to prevent it.

Behauptung:
After the October 1973 (Yom Kippur or Ramadan)
war, the great opportunity came. Listening
attentively to Palestinian voices, I noticed a new
note in the utterances of Said Hamami, PLO
delegate in London, who started to hint at the
possibility of a political solution to the
Israeli-Palestinian conflict. With the help of a
British journalist, I contacted Hamami, and some
time later we meet secretly - the first such
meeting ever between a non-communist Israeli and a
PLO official. A series of such clandestine
meetings followed. I informed Prime Minister
Yitzhak Rabin, who disapproved at that time of any
effort to make peace with the Palestinians, but
allowed me to continue my contacts "as a free
citizen". It became quite apparent that Hamami was
acting on behalf of Yasser Arafat. Several times,
I conveyed messages from Arafat to Rabin, to no
avail.

Und hier gibt er gleich im nächsten Satz selbst
zu, daß seine Behauptungen haltlos waren:

In the middle of 1975 Hamami informed me that the
PLO was now ready to conduct regular contacts with
an Israeli public body.

Diese und weitere nicht nur unbewiesene, sondern
widerlegte Behauptungen/Thesen finden sich hier:
